Family Camp Update

Recently we have had opportunity to share about the strong summer we had hosting our children and youth camps. We have been trying to make everyone aware of the fact we subsidize all of our camps substantially in order to keep them affordable.  As our costs keep rising, we have had to make some tough decisions regarding the upcoming camping season.

Upon review, it became clear we need to change the way we do family camp. We received feedback that our current price for families was already too expensive for some and at the rate we charged in 2024, we had to absorb nearly four thousand dollars (this despite our program team doing an excellent job of stewarding resources).  We have also noticed a trend for many years of having family camp be the only camp that does not fill despite a great deal of effort to do so.  For summer 2025 we will discontinue summer family camp and instead will seek to potentially replace it with either a spring or fall retreat that will also emphasize alumni connection.

Please keep an eye out on social media for the chance to indicate your preference be it spring or fall. Lastly, we want to express gratitude to those who have participated in our family camps in the past. There is no doubt there have been many great moments and memories and we will look forward to new ones as we rework the future of how best to serve our families and alumni.
