Holiday Happenings
We are offering our to-go meals again this year! Reserve your pick-up time and meals on our website. It's a fantastic way to support the camp while enjoying a delicious Christmas meal. We raised almost $6000 on Giving Tuesday! Thank you for your generosity. You can continue to support the camp by giving at https://www.chariscamp.com/donate. Consider supporting the camp to help us keep our camps affordable and continue to grow this place.

Our camps have grown so much over the years, we had the most kids we've ever had this past summer. We also ran our partnership camp with Evergreen and boy was it a huge success and we look forward to growing with Evergreen!
We have updates regarding our camps for Summer 2025. This summer, we will conduct our Day camp and Adventure camp simultaneously. Traditionally, Adventure camp has been held in August, but this year it will take place during the same week as Day camp in July. The core experiences of both Adventure camp and Day camp will remain unchanged! For all our 2025 camp dates, please visit "Summer 2025" on our website.
Recently we have had opportunities to share about the strong summer we had hosting our children and youth camps. We have been trying to make everyone aware of the fact we subsidize all of our camps substantially in order to keep them affordable. As our costs keep rising, we've had to make some tough decisions regarding the upcoming camping season.
Upon review, it became clear we need to change the way we do family camp. We received feedback that our current price for families was already too expensive for some and at the rate we charged in 2024, we had to absorb nearly four thousand dollars (this despite our program team doing an excellent job of stewarding resources). We have also noticed a trend for many years of having family camp be the only camp that does not fill despite a great deal of effort to do so. For summer 2025 we will discontinue summer family camp and instead will seek to potentially replace it with either a spring or fall retreat that will also emphasize alumni connection. Please watch on social media for the chance to indicate your preference for either spring or fall.
Lastly, we want to express gratitude to those who have participated in our family camps in the past. There is no doubt there have been many great moments and memories and we will look forward to new ones as we rework the future of how best to serve our families and alumni.Â
In September we ran our Fall Youth Retreat and we had double the amount of kids we had last year! It was a great time to gather, reset and rest before jumping into the fall. Needless to say, it was a big success.
Up next on our calendar is the Youth Discipleship Retreat happening January 24th-26th and Spring Break Day Camp happening March 17th-21st!
Youth Discipleship Retreat & Spring Break Day Camp registration opens December 9th at 10AM.
